Senator Pryor Tours Hurricane Creek Elementary!

Hurricane Creek Elementary was proud to welcome Senator Mark Pryor yesterday as he toured the building for a first hand look at the state of the art energy management systems that earned HCES its LEED certification.

Senator Pryor's Communications Director Michael Teague, and Field Representative Deke Whitbeck accompanied him for the visit. Linda Smith, Executive Director of the U.S. Green Building Council's Arkansas Chapter, was also in attendance, as well as Viridian Project Manager April Ambrose, Terracon Biologist Jodi Taylor, and Trane representatives Cortney Herbst and Glen Irvin. Bryant's own Bob Padgett, District Maintenance Supervisor, Tammie Reitenger, HCE Principal, and Julie Boyd, HCE teacher and District Teacher of the Year, hosted the tour.

The District would like to thank Senator Pryor and everyone who visited for their time and special attention to the environmental efforts of Hurricane Creek Elementary and the Bryant School District.
