April 21, 2025 (Bryant, AR) – Bryant High School is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of 42 students who have earned the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy, demonstrating proficiency in both English and Spanish. This remarkable accomplishment places Bryant among the top schools in the state for biliteracy recognition.
This spring, 1,229 students statewide from 81 high schools earned the Seal of Biliteracy in 34 different languages. Bryant High School had strong representation, with all 42 recipients certified in Spanish.
The Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy recognizes students who demonstrate fluency in English and at least one other language before high school graduation. The certification not only honors their linguistic skills but also enhances their college applications and career opportunities.
The award is sponsored by the Arkansas Foreign Language Teachers Association (AFLTA) and the Arkansas Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (ARKTESOL), and it has been officially endorsed by the Arkansas Department of Education since 2018.
