ASSESSMENTS
Kindergarten assessments are planned for Monday-Tuesday, August 14-15, 8:30am-2pm. Your school will contact you regarding an appointment time.

KINDERGARTEN OPEN HOUSE
On Wednesday, August 16, teachers will contact parents to schedule a specific time for Open House later that evening, 4:30-6:30pm. Students and families will meet the teacher, visit the classroom and school, and bring school supplies.

FIRST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN
The first day of kindergarten is a special one for both parents and students. To help you and your child have a great start, all kindergarten students will begin school at 9am on Thursday, August 17.

Each school is planning a warm welcome to celebrate your little Hornet’s first day. The later start will help with traffic and allow you time to say your goodbyes at the front door. To lessen the disruption to other learners in the building, parents may only walk students to the main entrance. Our staff members will be on hand to guide your child to his or her classroom.

Kindergarten students arriving by bus or earlier than the 9am start time will go to their classrooms for a planned activity. Kindergarten students will begin school at regular time the following day, Friday, August 18.
