2025 ATLAS State Testing Dates

Arkansas law requires that all public school students participate in a statewide program of educational assessments. While state tests are not the only measurement used to determine how students are doing in school, they do enable educators to compare how students are progressing over time.

All students in grades 3-10 will take the Arkansas Teaching, Learning, and Assessment System (ATLAS). In addition to math, English Language Arts, and science tests, students taking Algebra 1, Geometry, and Biology will also take end-of-course (EOC) exams to measure their knowledge. This spring marks the second year for the new testing system. Because ATLAS is aligned to the Arkansas academic standards or learning standards your child is expected to know for each grade, the Arkansas developed tests better reflect the accuracy of student performance. Additional resources for parents are available at atlasportal.org/families.

What can you do to help your student do his/her best on the ATLAS test?

  • Ensure your student is present each day of testing (schedule below).

  • Ensure your student eats a good breakfast on test days to fuel their brain.

  • Ensure that your student gets a good night's sleep before each test day.

  • Ensure students arrive on time for school on testing days.

  • Encourage your student to do his or her best!

Students can sometimes struggle with test anxiety. Use this resource to help!
