School Choice

THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS FOR THE ACCEPTANCE AND REJECTION OF SCHOOL CHOICE APPLICATIONS APPLIES TO THE BRYANT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR.

Beginning January 1, 2024, Bryant Public Schools will accept School Choice applications for the 2024-25 school year. The Bryant School Board approved a resolution that sets forth the criteria to be used in reviewing school choice applications for the 2024-2025 school year:

The Bryant School District will accept siblings of students already attending the Bryant School District through an earlier school choice transfer.

The Bryant School District will allow students who attended school in the Bryant School District during the 2023-2024 school year, but whose families moved out of the Bryant School District, to remain in the Bryant School District through a school choice transfer.

As long as doing so does not require the hiring of additional teachers, staff, or classrooms, the Superintendent of Schools is authorized to accept school choice transfers into the district, in the order in which those applications are received, as follows:

Grades K-5: 40 seats district-wide

Grades 6-7: 20 seats district-wide

Grades 8-9: 20 seats district-wide

Grades 10-12: 30 seats district-wide

Applications must be submitted to the Bryant District Office located at 1511 North Reynolds Road in Bryant, AR 72022.

Families must submit paperwork for each student living in the household to both the resident school district and non-resident school district.

The application period begins on January 1, 2024. School Choice applications are due by May 1, 2024.
