Kim Job Retirement

After more than three decades of devoted service to the students of Bryant Schools, Mrs. Kim Jobe is closing the chapter on her teaching career—one marked by dedication, joy, and unwavering commitment to her community.

A proud 1985 graduate of Bryant High School, Kim made her life and career in her hometown. She spent the majority of her 31-year teaching career at Bryant Middle School, where she taught 6th grade math for 29 years. Before that, she taught Title I reading and math at the elementary level for two years, laying a foundation that would positively shape hundreds of young learners.

Throughout her time at BMS, Kim created not just lessons but lifelong memories. In her early years at BMS, she helped coordinate unforgettable student trips to Space Camp in Alabama—an experience she fondly recalls as a unique learning opportunity for both students and teachers. For 15 years, she was the math teacher for the Thunderbirds team, where her creative classroom economy system—complete with Thunderbucks and year-end auctions—fostered both academic growth and a sense of fun.

When asked what she is most thankful for, Kim’s heart turns to the people who have filled her journey with purpose: “I’m thankful for the opportunity to teach in the school district where my husband and I, as well as our children, went to school. I’m thankful for the students who have had an impact on my life and the friends I’ve made along the way.”

Kim and her husband, John, are both Bryant alumni, and they’ve raised a family rooted in the same tradition. Their twin children—and now their son-in-law—are also Bryant graduates. Today, Kim cherishes her role as "Lolly" to two precious grandchildren, and she’s looking forward to spending more time with them in retirement.

Her future plans include family time, camping, traveling, and giving back to her community through volunteer work. Though she is stepping out of the classroom, her influence will be felt in the halls of Bryant Middle School for many years to come.

Kim Jobe, thank you for your years of service, your joyful spirit, and your love for learning. Your Bryant family celebrates you—and we wish you all the best in this next chapter!
