Pilot Travel Centers Donates $10,000 to Support Bryant Schools’ Robotics Program

Bryant Public Schools proudly recognized a generous $10,000 donation from the newly renovated Pilot Travel Center on Alcoa Road during the July 2025 School Board meeting. The contribution, made through Pilot Company’s Miles of Good program, is part of the company’s nationwide New Horizons initiative to modernize stores and reinvest in the communities they serve.

Representatives from Pilot joined the Bryant School board for the special recognition, including Jamie Coney, General Manager of the Alcoa Road location; and Devon Childers, Restaurant General Manager.

The donation will directly benefit Bryant’s growing Robotics program, which spans multiple campuses and offers students hands-on learning experiences in engineering, coding, and critical problem-solving. These real-world STEM opportunities are helping prepare students for success in college and future careers.

β€œWe are incredibly grateful for this generous $10,000 donation to our robotics program,” said Dr. Karen Walters, Superintendent of Bryant Public Schools. β€œThis investment will provide students with expanded opportunities to explore STEM pathways and build real-world skills. We deeply value community partners like Pilot who believe in our students and are committed to helping them succeedβ€”both in the classroom and beyond.”

The newly remodeled Benton location is part of a $1+ billion effort by Pilot Company to upgrade travel centers across the country. In celebration of the Benton site’s completion, the donation to Bryant Schools reflects Pilot’s ongoing commitment to giving back, especially in the areas of education, safety, and support for veterans.
