Bryant Public Schools is excited to welcome our newest school board member, Tanikus Farmer. Mrs. Farmer was appointed to the Board to fill the vacant At Large Position, formerly held by Patrice Muldrow. Farmer will serve in the position until the next board election in March 2026.
Tanikus Farmer and her husband Lynn have called Saline County home for nearly 20 years. Over the years, they have been deeply rooted in the community, actively volunteering in local schools, serving on various committees, and supporting youth sports and events. Together, they have two children: Jerrica (Andreas), who has blessed them with two beautiful granddaughters—Avalynn (4) and Aria (3 months)—and Kellen, a recent graduate of Bryant High School who is preparing to begin his college journey this fall.
Volunteering and serving others isn’t just something Tanikus does—it’s who she is. She has served on multiple PTO boards, committees, coordinated varsity football meals, and is a proud alumna of the Junior Auxiliary of Saline County. Today, she continues her service at the national level as the Chapter Support Coordinator for Junior Auxiliary chapters in Saline County, Hot Springs, Arkadelphia, Nashville, Hope, Monticello, and Warren, Arkansas.
Professionally, Tanikus has dedicated over 21 years to a major local health insurance company. She’s worked as a supervisor in Utilization Management and recently stepped into a new role as a Primary Care Representative for the Central Region.
Her passion for public service and education inspired her to seek a seat on the Bryant School Board. She explains, “My son recently graduated from Bryant Public Schools and is now heading to college. I’m grateful for the solid foundation our school system provided, and I’m eager to help ensure that same experience for other families.” Driven by a commitment to advocate for quality education, support educators, and give back to a system that poured so much into her family, Tanikus is ready to serve.
