Let’s celebrate the 2026 School-Based Health Care Awareness Month! This February, we’re saying "THANK YOU" to our everyday superheroes of school-based health care—SBHC teams, school nurses, advocates, and partners who continue to show up for students regardless of uncertainty and limited resources.
What is School-Based Health Care?
A school-based health center (SBHC) brings health care directly into the school setting, making it easier for students to get high-quality medical and preventive care without leaving campus. These centers reduce barriers such as transportation, scheduling conflicts, and missed classroom time - ensuring that students receive the services they need in a familiar, accessible environment.
SBHCs often provide a range of services from regular checkups and treatment for illness to immunizations, behavioral health support, chronic condition management, and referrals to specialists. By meeting students where they are, SBHCs support overall health and academic success.
At Bryant Public Schools, our Hornet Health Clinic is proud to provide this vital support right here on our main campus. The clinic, in partnership with ARcare, offers primary and preventive healthcare to students, district staff, and even community members at a location that’s convenient and welcoming.
Our clinic not only addresses physical health needs but also serves as a gateway to additional support, including mental health assessments and referrals.

Why This Matters
Healthy students are better learners, and school-based health centers help make that possible. By offering accessible, comprehensive care in an environment that families trust, SBHCs like our Hornet Health Clinic help reduce barriers to care, promote preventive health habits, and create pathways for students to thrive academically and personally.
This School-Based Health Center Awareness Month, we thank our dedicated clinic team, school nurses, campus partners, and local healthcare providers who show up for our students every day, helping them stay healthy, confident, and ready for success.
