Bryant’s archery teams are preparing to compete at the state level after an impressive regular season across the district.
The Bryant High School Archery Team finished 4th in the state in bullseye and 5th in the state in 3D competition. The Hornets will compete in the Bullseye State Championship on Saturday, March 7, followed by the 3D State Championship on April 10–11. The team is aiming to qualify for nationals for the third consecutive year.
At the middle school level, the Bryant Middle School Archery Team secured 5th place in the state in both bullseye and 3D competitions. They will compete in the Bullseye State Championship on Friday, March 6, and the 3D State Championship on April 10–11, with hopes of earning a second straight trip to nationals.
The Bethel Middle School Archery Team also had a strong showing this season, finishing 10th in the state in bullseye and 4th in the state in 3D. Bethel will compete alongside Bryant Middle in the March 6 Bullseye Championship and the April 10–11 3D Championship, seeking to qualify for nationals for the third year in a row.
Bryant’s archery program extends beyond the secondary level, with elementary students from Bryant Elementary, Hill Farm, Salem, Hurricane Creek, Collegeville, Davis, and Parkway also participating in the state tournament. Their involvement reflects the district’s continued growth and commitment to developing student-athletes at every level.
The secondary teams are led by coaches Sam Grimmett, Jason Roberts, Jason Whitfield, Starlite Whitfield, and Michelle Alverio, whose leadership has helped build one of the strongest archery programs in the state.
As championship season approaches, Bryant Schools wishes all of our archers — from elementary to high school — the very best. Good luck, Hornets!
