The Bryant High School Hornet Media Program earned two student production pillar awards from The National Academy of Television Mid America Chapter during an online ceremony Tuesday morning. This is equivalent to a professional earning an Emmy. The November edition of The Bryant Buzz won in the category of Newscast.  Producers for the show include Mady Calhoun, Isai Perez, Katlyn Ridgell and Matthew Anderson. Stories on the show included a campus construction update and how the science department is recruiting female students for physics courses.

Additionally, Calhoun and classmate Taylor Lease won in the category of Sports Story. The two documented the story of how several football players dedicated the 2026 season to a classmate who passed away the previous summer.  The sports story #DoItForE was so well documented that a local Little Rock TV station actually covered the story after Hornet Media first aired the report. The two regional “student Emmy’s” mark the 12th and 13th such awards for the Hornet Media program, the most by any Arkansas school since 2021.  The Mid America chapter encompasses schools from Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Louisiana and Missouri.
