The City of Bryant recently partnered with Bryant High School for a Water Tower Design Contest, giving graphic design students the opportunity to help shape what will be one of Bryant’s most recognizable landmarks. The project provided students with a unique, real-world design experience that combined creativity, community pride, and civic engagement through artwork for the City’s future elevated water tower.

After months of submissions and review, the Bryant City Council selected Keegan Pevytoe, a student in Mrs. Lindsay Fell’s graphic design class at Bryant High School, as the winning designer.

Keegan’s design captures Bryant pride through the use of Bryant blue, hornet-inspired elements, honeycomb patterns, and the phrase “Home of the Hornets,” reflecting the city’s tradition of excellence and strong sense of community.

“We’ve loved seeing our students bring creativity and hometown pride to a project that will become part of Bryant’s skyline,” Mayor Chris Treat said. “This partnership gave students a chance to leave a lasting mark on our community.”

The project was created to provide students with hands-on learning opportunities while contributing to a landmark that will serve the Bryant community for generations. Students were challenged to design artwork that represented Bryant as a whole — highlighting the schools, local government, community pride, and the qualities that make Bryant such a special place to live and learn.

In March 2025, the Bryant School Board approved the City of Bryant’s acquisition of 1.19 acres located at the northwest corner of Sullivan Road and Reynolds Road for the construction of the new 1.5 million-gallon elevated water tank.

The continued partnership between Bryant Public Schools and the City of Bryant highlights the power of collaboration in creating meaningful opportunities for students while strengthening pride across the Bryant community.
