Bryant Public Schools is proud to announce that Amy Gramlich, ESOL teacher at Bryant Junior High School and the district's 2025-26 Teacher of the Year, has been named one of the Top 15 Finalists for the 2027 Arkansas Teacher of the Year.
This prestigious honor, announced by the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), recognizes outstanding educators who demonstrate excellence in teaching, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to student success.
"We are incredibly proud of Amy and this well-deserved recognition," said Bryant Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Karen Walters. "She exemplifies the excellence, compassion, and commitment that define outstanding educators. Her work changes lives every day, and we are honored to have her represent Bryant Public Schools on the state level."
The Top 15 Finalists will be recognized during a ceremony at the Governor's Mansion on August 6. Each finalist will receive a certificate and a $1,000 cash prize, generously provided by the Walton Family Foundation.
The Arkansas Teacher of the Year program recognizes Arkansas educators for their outstanding teaching and leadership. During the August 6 recognition event, the state semifinalists will be announced. The 2027 Arkansas Teacher of the Year will be named later this fall and will go on to represent Arkansas in the National Teacher of the Year program.
