The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has released district and school letter grades for the 2025–26 school year. Under the state’s accountability system, Bryant Public Schools earned an overall “B” rating for the second consecutive year. Our individual schools received the following letter grades:

A Closer Look at Our Letter Grades
We want to keep our parents and community informed about school letter grades and what they mean for our students and district. This year, two of our 12 schools increased by one letter grade, seven maintained their previous grade, and three moved down one letter grade. We are especially pleased to see Parkway Elementary increase to an A, Bryant High School increase to a B, and Bethel Middle School maintain its A rating.
Our district and school leaders are using these results, along with other student learning data, to identify what is working and where additional support can make the greatest difference. This information helps guide decisions about instruction, resources, and support so we can build on our successes and students at each of our schools continue to learn and grow.

How Letter Grades Are Determined
School letter grades are based on several measures within Arkansas’s accountability system, including student performance on the ATLAS state assessment administered in Spring 2026. ATLAS measures how well students are meeting Arkansas grade-level standards in English Language Arts (grades 3–10), math and science (grades 3–8), as well as end-of-course assessments in Algebra I, Geometry, and Biology.
School and district performance is also measured through student academic growth and achievement, and the growth of students who need the most support. High school letter grades also include readiness for college and careers through Merit and Distinction diplomas, and graduation rates.
Because letter grades are determined by an overall accountability score, a school may increase its points from one year to the next without moving into a higher letter-grade category. Looking at the underlying data gives our educators a more complete picture of student performance and progress.
What This Means for Bryant Families
Letter grades are just one measure of school performance but provide useful information about our progress. Throughout the year, our teachers and administrators also use classroom assessments, student growth data, and daily learning to understand student needs and guide instruction.
Our goal extends beyond earning a particular letter grade. Our focus is on ensuring every Bryant student is learning, growing, and prepared for what comes next.
