For National Principals Month, we’re celebrating what it means to Experience Bryant through the eyes of our principals—the people, connections, and opportunities that make each school special.
For Dr. Dondre Harris, principal of Bryant Middle School, it starts with relationships. From classrooms where students ask questions and discover something new to celebrations of their growth and Hornet pride, he shares how the BMS community helps students feel valued, build confidence, and succeed.
What makes your campus special to you?
The people! Our staff and students make Bryant Middle School a special place. Their energy, dedication, and care for one another make me proud to be part of this school community.
Share one thing you want families to know about your school this year.
We are committed to helping every student grow academically and personally. We want families to feel welcome, stay connected, and know we are partners in their child’s success.
What is your favorite school tradition?
Celebrating our students, their achievements, their growth, and the ways they contribute to our school. I love opportunities to come together and show our Hornet pride!
Where is a place on campus you love?
The classrooms! Seeing students ask questions, work together, and discover something new reminds me why I love being an educator.
What is something your students do that makes you proud?
I’m proud when our students persevere through challenges and show kindness to others. Watching them gain confidence and take ownership of their learning is especially rewarding.
What do you enjoy most about leading your school?
Building relationships with students, staff, and families. I enjoy supporting our teachers and helping create a school where students feel valued, challenged, and excited about their future.
