During National Principals Month, we’re celebrating what it means to Experience Bryant through the eyes of our principals.
At Hill Farm Elementary, Principal Amie Horn believes strong relationships and high expectations help every Hoot Owl grow. She wants families to know they have a team committed to knowing, supporting, and believing in their children.
Share one thing you want families to know about your school this year.
At Hill Farm Elementary, I want families to know that we truly care about every child who walks through our doors. We are committed to knowing our students, building strong relationships, and helping each child grow academically and personally. We have high expectations because we believe in what our Hoot Owls are capable of, and we are constantly reflecting, learning, and working together to give them our very best. Most importantly, I want families to know that we are on the same team working together to help their child be successful.
What is your favorite school tradition?
We have several, but my favorites would be our celebration parade and our Christmas sing along.
Where is a place on campus you love?
There are lots of places I love, but a favorite is the morning and afternoon carlines. I love celebrating and making connections with our families. I am even able to build a relationship with future Hoot Owls while they wait for their siblings.
What do you enjoy most about leading your school?
What I enjoy most about leading Hill Farm is definitely the people. I love getting to know our students and families and working alongside a staff that truly wants what is best for kids. Some of my favorite moments are seeing a student finally experience success, watching a teacher try something new that makes a difference, or seeing a team come together to support one another.
