BHS Visual Artists Recognized

The Arkansas Young Artist Association is the largest organization of high school visual arts students in the state of Arkansas, with 61 high school chapters and over 1,500 student members.  The Association is highlighted each spring with the AYAA Convention and Competition, an officially sanctioned event by the AAA (Arkansas Activities Association). The following Bryant High School students were honored with awards at this highly competitive, juried exhibition event:

  • Sarah Wagner and Grace Holley were recipients of scholarships from the association. 
  • Sarah Leonard won an Honorable Mention in the Abstract Mixed Media 2D and 2nd place in Expressive Pencil/ Graphite Drawing categories. 
  • Sarah Roberts won 4th place in the Oil Painting, an Honorable Mention in Realistic Tempera Painting, and 1st Place in Functional Ceramics categories.
