free/reduced meals

The federal USDA waiver that allowed school districts to provide meals at no cost to all students has expired. Families who do not qualify for free or reduced price meals will return to paying full-price for school meals beginning the first day of school, August 22.

Some Students Will Still Qualify, But You Must Apply

We understand this change may cause a financial impact for many of our families. If your student qualifies for free or reduced meals, they can still receive them, but you will need to apply to be considered for the program. If you are concerned that you may not be able to afford school meal prices, we urge you to fill out an application for free or reduced meal benefits. Income eligibility guidelines are available online

To apply, complete the 2022-23 application for Free and Reduced Meals. The online application will be available on July 1 on the district’s website. Paper applications are available at the Food Service office.

Meal Prices

Currently, the district is experiencing food costs at record increases. To help offset some of these costs, meal prices will slightly increase for the 2022-23 school year.

Student Breakfast: $2.00

Elementary Lunch: $3.00 (PreK-5th grade) Secondary Lunch: $3.25 (Grades 6-12)

Adult Breakfast: $3.00 Adult Lunch: $4.35

We know the free meals for all students have been a welcome relief during the COVID-19 pandemic and we sympathize with parents about the upcoming change.

For assistance completing the application or for questions, please contact the Food Service Department at 501-847-5632. Applications for the 2022-23 school year will be accepted starting July 1.
