Covid Protocols for 2022-23

We are excited to welcome you back for the 2022-2023 school year. With the new school year comes changes to COVID protocols.

Last week, the CDC revised its Covid prevention methods for schools:

• Social distancing is no longer recommended.
• Quarantine is no longer recommended if you come in close contact with an infected person.

Students who are exposed to the virus can still attend classes. The district will not allow five days of quarantine for close contacts in the home.

A note from a medical provider will be needed for an excused absence. A picture of a positive home test will also be accepted, with the student’s name written on the test, along with the date it was taken. Administrators may require additional information to excuse the absence.

Just as with any other illness, students must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school.

The CDC recommends isolation for 5 days if you are Covid positive and recommends wearing a mask for 5 days following isolation.

We will no longer be reporting Covid positive cases to the District Point of Contact.
