Access to HAC

Update 1/9/26
The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has turned off Multi-Factor Authentication for HAC guardians. MFA will remain off until DESE can get the HAC email situation for guardians resolved.

At this time, if you have issues logging into HAC please contact your student’s school secretary to verify the guardian email in HAC.

Update: 1/6/26
Guardians with a Yahoo email may receive a code that is not just numeric, but with letters and/or symbols, too. Below is an example.  If that is the case, it is the last 6 digits that are the code.

If you go through all the steps and do not receive the MFA email containing the verification code within 24 hours, contact your student’s school secretary to verify the guardian email in HAC. DESE is working through issues this update may have caused. We appreciate your patience with these necessary security enhancements.

First Notification: 1/5/26
In order for guardians and students to access HAC (Home Access Center to view student grades, schedules and attendance), new Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) has been added to each account as of January 1, 2026.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) updated the student database system in compliance with Arkansas law Act 846 of 2023 which established the Arkansas Cyber Review Board (ACRB). The ACRB issued statewide guidelines on Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in 2024.

MFA will require a valid email address for all users, including students and their guardians. Upon login, a verification code will be sent to the guardian email address for HAC and must be entered to gain access. The email subject line will be Powerschool eSchoolPlus Authentication Code.
