Bryant Elementary School

During the month of April, Bryant Schools is participating in the 2025 THV11 Summer Cereal Drive to benefit the Arkansas Foodbank. Donations will be accepted at any Bryant School. The following items will count toward each school’s total: cereal (17 oz. and larger), granola bars, cereal bars, instant oatmeal, and toaster pastries.  Items will be sent to local food pantries to feed hungry children and families in our community.

The Bryant School Board meets monthly. Following each regular meeting, Bryant Public Schools publishes a School Board Recap to provide parents and community members with user-friendly information about decisions being made at school board meetings. New Principal Named for Bryant Elementary We are excited to announce Leslie Penfield as the next principal of Bryant Elementary School, beginning July 1, 2025. Mrs. Penfield brings a wealth of experience in education and leadership. She has served as principal of Salem Elementary for the past two years and previously led Hill Farm Elementary. Her dedication, strong work ethic, and commitment to students and the school community make her an excellent fit for this role. She said, “I am thrilled to return to Bryant Elementary where I started my teaching career in 2003. I am honored to be chosen to lead the building where my journey began and work alongside the faculty, students and families of BES. This definitely feels like a full circle moment. It is a Great Day to be a Hornet!” Congratulations, Mrs. Penfield! We look forward to all you will accomplish at Bryant Elementary.

Our team has been assessing road conditions this afternoon. While most roads in the district are clear, others remain hazardous. For the safety of our students and staff, Bryant Schools will be closed on Friday, February 21. This is the final inclement weather day built into our approved 2024-25 calendar. We hope no additional weather-related closures are needed. However, if more days are missed, they will be added to the end of the school year.

The safety of our students, families, and staff is at the heart of every decision we make. Due to inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, Bryant Public Schools will be 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐃 on Wednesday, February 19. Stay warm and stay safe!

We have been closely monitoring the weather and its potential impact on our area. Based on current weather forecasts, Bryant Schools will DISMISS EARLY at 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 18. Activities and athletic events are canceled. If inclement weather moves in earlier than expected, we will dismiss earlier. Please ensure we have your correct contact information as this is how we will communicate any possible changes. Watch for updates through our usual communication channels.
