Two Bryant High School students brought home honors from the Broadway Bound Awards of Central Arkansas, one of the biggest stages in the region.

After this year’s Bryant Theatre Company production of Hadestown was submitted, performers Liv Robertson and AJ Johnson were selected as nominees for Best Performer, competing against 22 top students from across the state.

According to Jeremy Clay, Bryant High School’s Auditorium Manager, the experience was one of the most rewarding of his career.

"Liv and AJ were both selected as top 6 finalists and had the opportunity to perform again for the judges. Their performances were absolutely phenomenal," Clay said.

While neither was selected as the final winner, Robertson was honored with the “Spirit of Broadway” award: which is an award selected through votes from all participating nominees.

Adding to the celebration, Bryant High School also received the Technical Excellence award: the only school-level award presented during the event.
