UPDATE: For the safety of our students, staff and families, Bryant Schools will be closed today, Monday, January 22. Bryant Schools will have a 2-hour delayed start on Monday, January 22. Buses will pick up students 2 hours later than normal; each school will begin two hours later than usual.  Should weather or road conditions change and school be cancelled for the day, we ask that families please continue to watch for messages and announcements.

We are carefully monitoring the winter weather forecasted overnight and Monday morning (January 22). Administrators will be out in the early hours to check road conditions. As always, our first priority will be keeping our students and staff safe. Should we have to make a change to the school schedule, we will do our best to notify parents by 5:30am.

SNOW DAY #4 ❄️☃️ Bryant Schools will be closed on Friday, January 19 due to continued hazardous road conditions, especially on secondary roads.

❄️❄️ Snow Day #3 ❄️❄️ Bryant Schools will remained closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 18, due to continued hazardous road conditions. Interstates and main roads in the area are clearing, but secondary roads continue to present unsafe conditions. Stay safe and warm, Hornets!

In preparation for the well below-normal temperatures next week, the great people of Saline County have come together to organize a COMMUNITY Warming Center! Saline County Warming Center Quick Facts: 📍 Northside Church of Christ (917 N. East St. Benton, next to Saline Memorial Hospital) ⏰ Opens: Sunday, Jan. 14 at 5pm (opening depending on current weather conditions) 📱To volunteer, call (501) 528-9668 or email salinewarmingcenter@gmail.com.

With winter weather in the forecast, now is a good time to review our inclement weather procedures. In the event that the school district has to cancel school due to inclement weather, we will have a traditional snow day. The district is utilizing an alternative calendar with additional instructional hours scheduled above what is required by the state. As long as the district does not close for more than five days, days will not have to be added to the end of the school year. IF it should be necessary to close school, parents will be notified by all District communication channels such as phone call, text, email, website, mobile app and social media as well as news outlets.

The Bryant School Board meets monthly. Following each regular meeting, Bryant Public Schools will provide a School Board Recap. We hope this short summary will provide parents and community members with user-friendly information about decisions being made at school board meetings. The Bryant School Board has approved the 2024-25 school calendar. School will begin on Monday, August 19. Next week parents will receive a survey about calendar options for the 2025-26 school year. Paid Interpreters Needed for Parent/Teacher Conferences Help us connect with our non-English speaking families by serving as an interpreter. If you are an adult 18 years or older who speaks English AND Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Tagalog/Filipino, Arabic, or another language, we would love to visit with you. Bryant Public Schools’ new Strategic Plan 2.0 outlines the district’s focus areas over the next few years based on four priorities: Safety and Student Supports; Student Learning; Career Readiness; and Highly Qualified Personnel. In the spring of 2023, all stakeholders were surveyed to help determine the goals and priorities for the Strategic Plan 2.0. It was important to the Bryant School Board and the district that areas identified by our stakeholders were a direct result of the data collected in the survey. The new plan includes the specific priorities indicated in the survey, provides actions to achieve the goals, determines methods to monitor and evaluate progress, and identifies desired outcomes. Specific data, including student achievement, will be included as part of the appendix (as it becomes available) to monitor progress of the priorities.
