Bryant Public Schools is pleased to announce Richard Wrightner has been named the new Assistant Principal for Hill Farm Elementary School. Mr. Wrightner earned his Bachelors in Middle Level Education from UCA and his Masters in Educational Leadership from ASU. He proudly served six years with the US Army National Guard for Texas. He is completing his eighth year as an educator with the last five in the Bryant School District. He taught 6th and 8th grade Math at Bryant Middle, then transitioned to BJHS when the school opened in 2019. He served as the Head 8th grade basketball coach at BJHS as well as an assistant football coach. He took on the role of 8th grade Math PLC leader during the current school year. “I am very excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the Hill Farm Elementary School family. I look forward to working with the students, teachers, staff, and families in continuing the excellent things that are already happening at HFES,” said Mr. Wrightner.

The Lady Hornets Softball team will play for the 6A State Championship on Thursday, May 18 at 4pm. It’s the first time the program has been to a state final since winning the title in 2012. The championship game against Cabot will be held at the University of Central Arkansas Farris Field. Let’s support our Lady Hornets in their championship bid by wearing Hornet gear or Bryant Blue on Thursday. We also invite fans to join us in lining Reynolds Road for the team's send off on Thursday morning at 11:15am. The softball championship will be televised live statewide on Arkansas PBS Sports. Tickets to the game are available at AHSAA.org/tickets. We wish our Lady Hornets all the best!

Due to flooding, the City of Alexander has closed Brookwood. If your child’s normal bus stop is at Brookwood and Lindsey, TODAY the students will be picked up at Don Parker and Brookwood. Route 133 is a double route and students need to be at Brookwood/Don Parker at their normal pick up time. Buses that are impacted: Route 123 HFES (Routes 3, 133-Double Route) BMS (Routes 107, 111, 113) BJHS (Routes 31, 41, 106) BHS (Routes 31, 32, 42)
