Be Bold. Be Brave. Be Bryant: Answering The Call
At Collegeville Elementary, being bold and brave means stepping up when students need you most. In July, the school faced a sudden need for a Special Education teacher: and Gina Milam answered the call.
βIt was a hard one, in a way, because I didnβt wanna leave my team,β Milam said. βBut those CBI babies, I really needed someone to step in and take that place. I already had the license to do it, so I wanted to try something new and be there for those kids.β
βSeeing those babies smile and light up and having someone there for them, and then also just seeing the growth theyβve already made in this school yearβitβs been really fun,β she shared. βWe just kind of formed this wonderful teamβme and my three wonderful paras. We tackle all the challenges together to make those kids feel loved and appreciated.β
Assistant Principal Justin Leaton said her decision perfectly embodies this yearβs district mantra. βGina has really showcased βBe Bold, Be Brave, Be Bryantβ from the beginning this year. Starting off, we had a need in the CBI classroom, and she was anxious to jump in that role. Thatβs not the easiest thing to do, coming from a regular classroom into the special education world, but she embraced the challenge wholeheartedly.β
βSheβs meeting every student where they are, to do whatβs best for them,β Leaton added. βThatβs our mission here at Collegevilleβlove, learn, and grow togetherβand Gina has done that wholeheartedly from day one.β

We sat down with Lauren Lisowe, Board Chairman of Bright Futures Bryant, to share how the program is meeting student needs within 24 hours and connecting our schools with community support.
From collecting Halloween costumes and hoodies to launching a student-led drive for ethnic hair products, Bright Futures is making a real difference for Bryant students and families. π

At Bryant Schools, we are proud to offer exceptional Fine Arts programs in visual arts, music, band, choir, and theatre. Every elementary student receives art and music instruction, while middle and high school students can explore band, choir, theatre, and advanced visual arts opportunities.
Fine Arts education does more than nurture creativity: it builds confidence, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. Students gain cultural awareness, discover new talents, and develop lifelong passions that prepare them for success in school, careers, and beyond.
We are thankful for our outstanding Fine Arts teachers and celebrate the incredible creativity of our students.
