mental health awareness week

This May, we are honored to observe Mental Health Awareness Month and actively participate in Mental Health Awareness Week in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Education from May 6-10. As we focus on the well-being of our students, staff, and families, this time is dedicated to raising awareness about mental health, breaking down stigmas, and providing support and resources to our community.

Mental Health Awareness Week serves as a vital opportunity for us to engage in open conversations, offer empathy, and support one another on our individual mental health journeys.  We encourage you all to take a moment to check in with friends, family, and especially yourselves. Whether it's taking a quiet walk, joining a yoga class, or reading a good book, find what helps you unwind and feel centered.

It’s important to remember that it’s okay to not be okay. You are not alone. Seeking help when you feel overwhelmed is not just okay; it’s encouraged. 💚

This week, let's embrace empathy, compassion, and kindness. By spreading the word, we can foster a supportive environment and make a meaningful impact together. Together, we can “Light the Way” for our students, family, and staff.

Watch our district website and social media for more information and resources throughout the month of May. Let’s make mental health a priority - not just this week, but every day.
