It’s our first varsity home game! Come out for 7A Central Conference Varsity football action tonight at Hornet Stadium. The Hornets will take on FS Northside; kickoff is 7pm. It’s almost time to #GoGold! All Hornets are asked to wear gold on Friday, September 23 to bring awareness to childhood cancer. Share photos with the hashtag #HornetsGoGold. We are also asking students to donate $1 and staff to donate $2. All donations will be given to Arkansas Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Child Life Department to support children with cancer and their families. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to bring attention to pediatric cancer, the leading cause of death by disease for children under the age of 14. The color gold and the gold ribbon are symbols of support for children affected with cancer. All Hornets are asked to #GoGold on Friday, September 23 to show your support. Buses may run behind the first week of school. We have many new drivers and riders, so delays should be expected in the afternoons. All students will be dropped off safely, but it may be a later time than anticipated. Bus drop off times will continue to improve as we move past the first week. Thank you for your patience as we work to transport over 4,500 students to school and home each day. We hope your Hornets had a great first day of school!

SAFETY REMINDER: State law prohibits motorists from using a mobile phone while in a school zone or passing a school building when children are present. This includes both talking and texting. We appreciate your cooperation to ensure a safer environment for our Hornets!
