Arkansas Governor’s School is a four-week summer residential program for upcoming high school seniors in our state. Two Bryant High School teams represented us at the Arkansas Economics Challenge today! 📝 The competition consisted of three parts; An essay written in advance, a team presentation prepared on site and judged by college professors, and a multiple choice test. The David Ricardo Division Team won Best Presentation and 1st place overall, and Grayson Outlaw won the essay competition. Bryant High School Robotics Team 5691X wins the State Robotics Championship! 🏆 Our winning team partnered with a team from Fayetteville and the group was victorious. BHS Team 5691Y also competed and represented our district with great sportsmanship in the competition. We are #BryantProud of these two teams and their coach Doug Maxwell for the hard work that has gotten them this far. The Journalism Education Association, the nation’s largest scholastic journalism organization in the country, announced Nevaeh Suit is the 2024 Arkansas Student Journalist of the Year. #BryantProud Nevaeh has been a member of the Bryant broadcast program throughout high school and serves as producer, reporter, and anchor. To compete, she had to build a website portfolio showcasing her work over her time on the Bryant High School Broadcast team. Some of the categories of Nevaeh's portfolio included a personal narrative, reporting and writing, web and social media content, design, broadcast, and law and ethics. Bus Driver Appreciation: Thursday, February 22
Bryant Mayor Rhonda Sanders issued a proclamation acknowledging February 11-16 as national FBLA Week in the City of Bryant. Mayor Sanders presented the proclamation to FBLA President Maricka Farr stating, “Strong business leaders are the future of our community.” The group attended Future Friday at Arkansas Tech, a day for FBLA members to learn important life skills necessary for life after high school. They also had the opportunity to practice for their state competitions. Cheryl Harrell serves as the FBLA adviser. #FBLAWeek24
