NATIONAL MEDALISTS!
Congratulations to our Bryant High School Hornet Media students for an outstanding showing at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia!
Audio Production – 2nd Place (Silver)
Jonathan Bles & Isabella Durfey
Video News Production – 3rd Place (Bronze)
Matthew Anderson, Mady Calhoun, Caden Key & Isai Perez
All six Bryant students returned home with national medals after competing against the best students in the country. The Audio Production team spent two days producing a podcast and commercial, while the Video News Production team completed a news production competition. Both teams were also required to complete written assessments related to their field.
These accomplishments continue a remarkable tradition of excellence for Hornet Media. Bryant students have represented Arkansas in Video News Production at the national level for five consecutive years and in Audio Production four of the last five years. Bryant is also the only school in Arkansas to earn a national medal in Video News Production during an in-person SkillsUSA competition.
With these awards, Bryant now holds five national medals in Audio Production and Video News Production: the most of any school in Arkansas.
We are incredibly proud of these students and their commitment to excellence. Congratulations, Hornets!

To help prepare for the SkillsUSA Video News Production competition, students recently spent three hours last week at THV11, working alongside anchors and producers and getting a behind-the-scenes look at a live newscast. This is the second year in a row THV11 has welcomed our students and helped them gain valuable real-world experience.
