Broadcast teacher Michael Westbrook earned the distinction of Arkansas Scholastic Press Association Adviser of the Year. Awarded for his efforts as a program builder, first at Arkansas High School before coming and creating a nationally award-winning program at Bryant in his first year, Westbrook has taken his students on to success at other national competitions hosted by the Student Television Network and Skills USA. Congratulations, Mr. Westbrook! #ASPA

Due to a structure fire on Hwy 5, the following bus routes will have delays in pickup this morning:

Due to flooding, the City of Alexander has closed Brookwood. If your child’s normal bus stop is at Brookwood and Lindsey, TODAY the students will be picked up at Don Parker and Brookwood.
On Saturday, April 22, Bryant High School will host the inaugural Arkansas Jazz Education State Jazz Festival in Love Auditorium. Jazz ensembles from around the state will be performing for a panel of judges for ratings and other recognitions. Concerts are free to the public.
Bryant High School instructor Brenda Qualls has been named one of five finalists for the Arkansas Computer Science Educator of the Year. Mrs. Qualls has worked to create an outstanding computer science program for our Hornets! #BryantProud

Bryant High School graphic design students competed at the 2022-2023 Arkansas SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference in the areas of advertising design, t-shirt design, and pin design. SkillsUSA is a national career and technical student organization serving more than 395,000 high school, college and middle school students and professional members enrolled in training programs in trade, technical and skilled occupations.Â
Congratulations to Anna Rogers and Hayden Knowlton  for placing second and third place in their individual competitions! Lindsay Fell is the graphic design instructor.
Bryant Public Schools operates a school-based health center to provide care for our students. The Hornet Health Center is currently taking applications for a new medical provider. All the details are available at https://5il.co/1s605. Applications are due by May 5 at 4pm.Â
Bryant & Bauxite FBLA chapters are hosting a yard sale to benefit Civitan Services on Saturday, April 22, 8am-2pm, at the Civitan Shoppe located on Reynolds Road.Â
Donations for the yard sale may be dropped off at Bryant High School from 2-6pm on Sunday, April 16 and from 4:30-8pm the week of April 17-21. All items donated will be sold at the yard sale, and all proceeds will benefit Civitan Services.Â
