On July 9, 2020, Governor Asa Hutchinson announced that the start date for the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year would be moved to the week of August 24, 2020 instead of August 13, 2020. The State of Arkansas did not waive the requirement that schools must be open for instruction for 178 days during a school year. This announcement resulted in the need for Bryant Public Schools to amend our previously-approved school calendar, changing the start date and adding seven additional instructional days. Attached is the revised calendar for the 2020-21 school year. We look forward to welcoming our Hornets back to school on August 24! 2020-21 School Calendar: https://5il.co/h9x0

DEADLINE TODAY: In late June, a survey was sent asking parents to choose between Blended (Onsite) and Virtual (Online) learning. The survey closed on July 5. With the recent decision by Gov. Hutchinson to push back the start of school until August 24 and the rise in COVID-19 positive cases, many parents have inquired about changing their student's learning option to Virtual for this fall. This survey allows parents the option to enroll their student in Virtual (Online) learning for the fall semester. The ONLY parents who need to complete this survey are: * Parents who want to CHANGE from Blended (Onsite) to Virtual (Online) learning. * Parents who DID NOT complete the June survey and want to sign up for Virtual (Online) learning. FILL OUT ONE SURVEY PER STUDENT. (If you have three students, you will need to complete the survey three times, one for each child.) The survey is open from July 13-19. Deadline is SUNDAY, JULY 19 at midnight. We have created a Frequently Asked Questions document which provides additional information: Visit bryantschools.org for more information. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE A VIRTUAL LEARNING SURVEY RESPONSE FOR EACH ONE OF YOUR STUDENTS, THEN YOUR CHILD WILL BE SIGNED UP FOR BLENDED LEARNING (ONSITE LEARNING) IN THE FALL.
