With winter weather in the forecast, now is a good time to review our inclement weather procedures. In the event that the school district has to cancel school due to inclement weather, we will have a traditional snow day. The district is utilizing an alternative calendar with additional instructional hours scheduled above what is required by the state. As long as the district does not close for more than five days, days will not have to be added to the end of the school year. IF it should be necessary to close school, parents will be notified by all District communication channels such as phone call, text, email, website, mobile app and social media as well as news outlets.

During Red Ribbon Week this year, Bryant Middle School raised $1,226.67 for a local recovery program. Students participated in a "Change War". Each morning, change brought to school would be weighed and recorded. The class that brought the most change in weight was the winner! Congratulations to Mr. Burchfield's 6th grade class and Mrs. DeLoach's 7th grade class. Recovery Centers of Arkansas provides multiple levels of treatment and rehabilitation services to those with a substance disorder. This money will go to their Sober Living program. This provides individuals with a clean, safe, drug-free environment while they are progressing successfully in recovery.
