In 7th grade English, students are learning about argumentative writing using a short story, “The Scarlet Ibis,” where they argue whether or not a character is responsible for his brother’s death. In Ms. Ross’ honors classes, they related this to real world situations by conducting a mock trial where they provided arguments and reasonings based on evidence from the text. 📚 ⚖️👨⚖️👩⚖️

Tacky Sweater Day and some reindeer!👚👕🎄🎅

Congrats to BMS Cheer that placed first 🥇 at the Southern Spirit cheer completion!

♨️Our 6th grade science students explored thermal energy transfer this week through some fun, hands-on demonstrations!
♨️Students watched a glass tea kettle boil water to observe convection in action. They also examined how a toaster uses radiation to heat bread. Finally, they saw conduction at work as butter melted on the warm toast.
♨️To make the lesson even more exciting, everyone got to order their toast just the way they like it!
♨️A huge thank you to all the parents who donated supplies and helped make this memorable learning experience possible!
