Families of The Creek, This is it... the final week of school. It has been our pleasure to partner with you in growing and equipping your child to be a lifelong learner! In this email you'll find the final newsletter of the 23-24 school year. I have included a thank you message as we are grateful for you, and appreciate your support and encouragement this year. Remember, last Friday was our final day to have lunch visitors as we have many events scheduled this week, and will run alternate schedules. This has truly been a successful year! Hurricane Creek is a safe, respectful environment with high levels of learning for all...I hope you make it a great summer or not, the choice is yours! The Lady Hornets Softball team will play for the 6A State Championship on Thursday, May 18 at 4pm. It’s the first time the program has been to a state final since winning the title in 2012. The championship game against Cabot will be held at the University of Central Arkansas Farris Field. Let’s support our Lady Hornets in their championship bid by wearing Hornet gear or Bryant Blue on Thursday. We also invite fans to join us in lining Reynolds Road for the team's send off on Thursday morning at 11:15am. The softball championship will be televised live statewide on Arkansas PBS Sports. Tickets to the game are available at AHSAA.org/tickets. We wish our Lady Hornets all the best!

Hello HCES Families, You loved our teachers so well last week during Teacher Appreciation Week. They were touched by your kindness! We are grateful for your support. We have 9 days left in this school year! Help your student understand we will adhere to our school-wide rules and expectations until May 25. Routines and schedules will continue to be a priority, but may be tweaked according to end of the year demands and activities. On that note, this is the final week to have lunch with your student. May 19 will be the final day, as we will have varied activities that may interfere with recess and lunch schedules. Get the scoop in this week's Patriot Press for Parents, below. Make it a great day of not, the choice is yours! Good morning to our HCES Families, We are moving into the final week of April, with only 24 school days left. We still have high levels of learning that happens every single day, so make sure your child arrives at school on time, ready to give their best. Our third, fourth, and fifth graders are gearing up for our big state assessment, The ACT Aspire, next week, May 2-4. Attendance is very important as teachers and students are reviewing important concepts. All of our K-5 classes are trying to earn 20 stars so they can be an Attendance Hero Class. How does this happen? Each classroom with 100% attendance, and NO tardies earns a STAR for the day. Twenty stars guarantees a GLo-Stick Party with the principals, and the title of ATTENDANCE HERO! Help your child get to school by 7:45, so they can receive a daily star. What do you need to know about the upcoming weeks at The Creek? Read all about it in The Patriot Press; Parent Edition. Make it a great day or not, the choice is yours!
