It’s almost time for Holidays at Hurricane! For those of you that don’t know, this is the largest fundraiser for our school. It helps provide the school and teachers with so many things like playground equipment, furniture, classroom supplies and even fun events and parties. We turn the whole school into a winter wonderland complete with over 70 vendors. There will be raffle prizes, a bake sale, an auction for the amazing baskets our parents are contributing to, and even Santa!
This is a huge event and we really need all hands on deck to help out. Here is the signup for the event. If you can only contribute a short amount of time, that is totally fine. Any help appreciated. And all volunteers for free entry and a free raffle entry.

Bryant Public Schools is committed to providing a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Did you know the Bryant Public Schools mobile app has an anonymous tip line? Select "Hornet Tip Line" in the main menu.

According to Arkansas law, when a school bus stops and displays its alternating red warning lights for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers, every operator of a motor vehicle or motorcycle approaching the school bus from any direction must stop at least 30 feet behind a stopped school bus.
For the sake of our students, stop when you see the flashing red lights. Let’s work together to make sure our students travel safely to and from school each day. #SchoolBusSafetyWeek #FlashingRedKidsAhead 🚍🛑

October is #NationalPrincipalsMonth. All month long, we’re celebrating our amazing principals at each of our schools.
Jacqueline Vergason has been Hurricane Creek Elementary’s principal for two years. For Mrs. Vergason, education is more than a job, it’s a calling. “I love people,” she says. “I love investing in the lives of people, young and old. I love supporting and encouraging others, and seeing it make a positive difference in their lives. I take very seriously the impact that my influence can have on others.”
FUN FACT:
Mrs. Vergason and a friend once took a one-way road trip covering 2,200 miles in 48 hours, from home to Nevada and California.
Thank you, Mrs. Vergason for creating opportunities for success at Hurricane Creek! #BryantProud #ThankAPrincipal

Physical safety is important, but so is emotional safety. To feel emotionally safe, students need supportive relationships, the key to better learning experiences for all students. That’s why we place such importance on the processes of Capturing Kids’ Hearts. From door greetings, to sharing Good Things, to social contracts, we value creating positive learning environments. #CKH
