DES was recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school that is Beating the Odds because students demonstrated high growth on the ACT Aspire even though the school serves a high percentage of students who participate in Free and Reduced Lunch.

#ChildHealthDay focuses on children's well-being and overall health. It is dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of providing children access to quality healthcare, promoting healthy lifestyles, and preventing childhood illnesses and injuries.

We’ve added The Farm to our Heartsafe schools!
Hill Farm Elementary received their Project Adam, Heartsafe School Designation yesterday. In partnership with Bryant Fire Department and Pafford EMS, Hill Farm Elementary (HFE) staff successfully completed their Heartsafe School certification drill.
The CERT team is composed of a wide variety of the HFE team members with Nurse Brooke Jackson leading the way. Through the efforts of our Nursing Department, we plan to have all schools in the district designated as Heart Safe as soon as possible. Congratulations, Hill Farm Elementary!

The Bryant School Board meets monthly. Following each regular meeting, Bryant Public Schools will post a School Board Recap to give parents and community members user-friendly information about decisions being made at school board meetings.

Grocery shopping this weekend? Pick up an extra jar of peanut butter and donate it! We are collecting peanut butter through September 29. Help us provide a nutritious staple food item for children and families in Saline County! Drop off at any Bryant school from 8:30am-2:30pm.

REMINDER: All students will be dismissed early on Thursday, September 28 for Secondary (6-12th grade) Parent Teacher Conferences. Teachers will reach out to parents to schedule conference times.

Have you completed a meal application? The online application only takes a few minutes and is the fastest, easiest way to get approved. Paper applications may also be picked up and returned to any school office or cafeteria. Apply at bryantschools.org/page/food-service.

A power outage has affected the Bethel Middle School campus. At this time, phones and email are not working. Students are enjoying lunch by sunlight.

Our partnership with the City of Bryant and Bryant Police Department allows us to have EIGHT police officers on our secondary campuses. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. For the second year, our district is participating in the #GoGold campaign.
All Hornets are asked to #GoGold on Friday, September 29. Wear gold clothing/accessories or wear a gold ribbon. We are asking students to donate $1 and staff to donate $2. All donations will be given to Arkansas Children’s Hospital Hematology/Oncology Child Life Department to support children with cancer and their families.
