Should we have to make a change to the school schedule, we will do our best to notify parents by 5:30am.

Mrs. Tedder's 6th grade accelerated math students completed a “Simplifying Expressions” gallery walk this week! 📋💡 Great job! Keep up the good work, Bethel Hornets! #bethebest #bryantproud

💙 It's a new year, which means new classes for some of our students, and we are ready to E.X.C.E.L. (Engage, X-plore, Communicate, Empower, and Launch)! This week, several students worked together to create social contracts for their new classes. Our teachers shared affirmations to encourage each other at a staff meeting, and our students wrote affirmation cards in the library to share with others! 💙 #bethebest #capturingkidshearts

In preparation for the well below-normal temperatures next week, the great people of Saline County have come together to organize a COMMUNITY Warming Center!
Saline County Warming Center Quick Facts:
📍 Northside Church of Christ (917 N. East St. Benton, next to Saline Memorial Hospital)
⏰ Opens: Sunday, Jan. 14 at 5pm (opening depending on current weather conditions)
📱To volunteer, call (501) 528-9668 or email salinewarmingcenter@gmail.com.

With winter weather in the forecast, now is a good time to review our inclement weather procedures. In the event that the school district has to cancel school due to inclement weather, we will have a traditional snow day.
The district is utilizing an alternative calendar with additional instructional hours scheduled above what is required by the state. As long as the district does not close for more than five days, days will not have to be added to the end of the school year.
IF it should be necessary to close school, parents will be notified by all District communication channels such as phone call, text, email, website, mobile app and social media as well as news outlets.

🧑🔬 Mrs. Penn's and Mr. Christmas's 6th grade science classes are finishing a unit on thermal energy this week. Their classes were challenged to choose the perfect insulator to protect the baby penguins visiting our school from the hot heat lamps in their classrooms. There were so many noisy, chirping baby penguins in the containers, even Mr. Sims had to intervene!! 🧊🐧😉 Thankfully, they soon discovered the penguins were really just melting rubber ducky ice cubes in need of good insulation! #sciencelab #bethebest

🔎 Mrs. Tedder's 6th grade math students have been working hard learning math vocabulary! Together, they paired math statements with the matching expressions. Great job, Bethel Hornets! 💙 #bethebest #bryantproud

🎉 It's National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and we are so grateful to have Officer Dill at our school! We want to say thank you for all that you do for our students and staff each day! #bryantproud #LawEnforcementAppreciationDay

🥧🥧🥧 Today, Mrs. Reaves's 7th grade math students explored how to divide circumference by diameter to find pi (3.14)! They used wiki sticks and rulers to measure their mini "pies" to discover the relationship between circumference and diameter in a circle. We love seeing our Bethel Hornets learning through hands-on activities! 💙 #bethebest #bryantproud

🎉 Congratulations to our Behavior Matrix Winners for this week, Carolina and Lillian! They earned a ticket for following our S.W.A.R.M. expectations at school, and today their lucky ticket was drawn! We are so proud of you!! 💙 #bethebest #bryantproud
