Mrs. Howard celebrated two of her classes that showed substantial growth on their ATLAS exams from fall to winter! 🎉📚 Their hard work and dedication paid off, so they earned a well-deserved celebration. One class enjoyed pizza, while the other celebrated with tacos! 🌮🍕 We are so proud of the effort these students put into improving and showing growth. Keep up the great work! 👏

Students in Bryant Junior High’s FCCLA partnered with the Arkansas Foodbank to package more than 2,600 pounds of pinto beans for families in need. That’s enough food to help provide meals for over 2,500 families in our community.
We’re proud of these students for their hard work and for giving back in such a meaningful way!

✨ Black History Month Assembly at BJHS ✨ Today, our BJHS community came together for a powerful and meaningful Black History Month assembly that honored the past, celebrated the present, and inspired our future. We began with Coach Belcher, who shared why we celebrate Black History Month and what its significance means for our students today. The BJHS Gospel Choir lifted the room with an incredible performance that set the tone for the assembly. Mr. Lee walked students through the history of Black History Month, explaining how it began and why it is observed in February. We also celebrated student excellence as Kenley Harris was recognized as the winner of our Black History Month poem writing contest. The energy continued with Coach Colbert leading our step teams, who absolutely wowed the audience with their talent and teamwork. We were honored to welcome Jurnee Taylor from THV11 as our keynote speaker, who delivered an inspiring message our students will carry with them beyond today. Thank you to everyone who made this assembly so meaningful. Moments like these remind us why representation, history, and student voice matter. 🖤💛💚

🕵️‍♂️ CASE FILE: 04.14.1865 🕵️‍♀️

History isn't just a story—it’s a crime scene. This week, Mrs. Preator's students are stepping into the boots of 19th-century investigators to crack the Lincoln Assassination conspiracy! 🎩📜

Using actual primary sources from the night at Ford's Theatre and the events that followed, students are analyzing eyewitness depositions and physical evidence to piece together the web of conspirators. Who was in on it? What were their roles? And how did they almost pull it off?

By evaluating conflicting eyewitness accounts, they are learning that the truth is often found in the details of the past. 🔍💻

Yesterday, students at BJHS celebrated their academic efforts! We had 741 students who met the criteria of showing growth or scoring at a level 3 or 4 on BOTH their math and English ATLAS interim test. Students played Gaga ball, basketball, 9 square, board games, and more. Special thanks to Geyer Springs Baptist Church and New Life Baptist Church for their help with our incentive. We love celebrating our students’ hard work and success!

💙 Counselor Appreciation Week 💙 Last week was Counselor Appreciation Week, and we want to take a moment to recognize our AMAZING counselors! Even during one of the busiest weeks of the year—with state interim testing, building schedules for incoming 9th graders, and planning ahead for our incoming 8th graders—they showed up every day with patience, care, and dedication. Our counselors do so much behind the scenes and are truly vital to the success of our students and our school. We appreciate them more than they know and are incredibly grateful for all that they do! 💙✨ #CounselorAppreciationWeek #ThankYouCounselors #SoGrateful
