Bryant Public Schools is proud to announce the hiring of Shannon Williams as Bryant Elementary assistant principal beginning in the 2021-22 school year.
Mrs. Williams graduated from ASU, majoring in Psychology, with minors in both Sociology and Interdisciplinary Family Studies, in 2001. Because of her innate love and compassion for children and learning, in 2003, she entered the Arkansas Non-Traditional Teacher Licensure Program and was hired in her first teaching position within the Pine Bluff School District.
During her tenure in the Pine Bluff School District, Mrs. Williams received her Master's Degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Multidisciplinary Studies from Webster University. In 2009, she became an educator within the Pulaski County Special School District, where she served for seven years. In 2016, Mrs. Williams joined the Bryant School District family and became a HORNET! She taught four years at Robert L. Davis Elementary and obtained her Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership in May of 2020. Within one month of graduation, Mrs. Williams became the Building Learning Specialist for Hill Farm Elementary and served in that role for the 2020-2021 school year.
In addition to education, Mrs. Williams enjoys vacationing and spending time with loved ones. She is ecstatic about joining the Bryant Elementary Family! She is certainly looking forward to working alongside BES Building Principal, Mark Scarlett, and serving the teachers/staff, students, and families of Bryant Elementary.
