Bryant Public Schools Board of Education is seeking interested applicants to fill a vacancy on the school board for Zone 3 in the Bryant School District. (See map: https://bit.ly/BPSZone3). Applicants must reside within Zone 3 of the Bryant School District. The position will be placed on the ballot for the May 16, 2023, school board election with the full term scheduled to expire in May 2027. Applicants are invited to submit a letter of intent and a resume to Heather Tipton, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and School Board, by noon on Monday, June 13, 2022. All submissions are subject to Arkansas’ Freedom of Information Act. The applicants will be interviewed by board members at the June 20, 2022 school board meeting (note the change from June 16). Following the interviews, the school board will consider a final appointment to fill the vacancy beginning July 1, 2022, through the May 16, 2023, school board election. Join us in welcoming Nikki Tate to Bryant Public Schools! Ms. Tate will serve as the incoming Assistant Principal for Bryant Middle/Elementary LINKS/ALE program. Ms. Tate graduated from Henderson State University with a Bachelors of Science in Education - Mid Level Math and Science and a Masters in Educational Leadership. She brings 17 years of experience in education to her new role. Her previous position was with the Centerpoint School District as Dean of Students for grades 6-12. We are excited for our students and parents to meet Ms. Tate and thankful she chose to #TeachBryant.

An educator with 11 years of experience, Timothy (TJ) Powell is joining us from the Magnolia School District. Mr. Powell will begin his position as Bryant High School Assistant Principal on July 1. Mr. Powell spent the first six years of his educational career as a coach. His first administrative role was as an elementary assistant principal. For the last two years, he has served as Assistant Principal of the Magnolia High School Freshman Academy. We are thrilled to have Mr. Powell join our high school team. Welcome to Bryant!
